Ukash headed for South Africa

Online payments firm Ukash is set to launch its pre-paid card services to consumers in South Africa. The service will be available in more than 200 terminals located in Shell Select petrol station shops.

Chief executive Mark Chirnside said:

“Ukash is already available to an estimated 226 million European internet users who don’t have or don’t wish to use credit or debit cards online. I’m pleased that South Africa’s 5m internet users will soon have the chance to use Ukash when they shop, play and pay online.”
